Best Paper Finalists

EuCAP 2017 Best paper Awards and Best Student Paper Awards

The EuCAP 2017 Best Paper Awards have been created to contribute to the recognition of scientific quality of research and engineering in four thematic domains (Measurement, Propagation, Electromagnetics and Antenna Theory, and Antenna Design and Applications) whereas Best Student Paper Awards recognize the best paper(s) presented by a student and they are not related to a specific thematic domain.

The EuCAP 2017 Best Paper Awards and Best Student Paper Awards consist of a 500 € prize and a gift (sponsored by Telecom ParisTech, www.telecom-paristech.fr). The awards will be remitted at the EuCAP 2017 Closing Ceremony.

Procedure

The Awards committee is in charge of selecting 5 finalist papers for each award, solely based on the result of the review carried out by the EuCAP 2017 reviewers and the TPC members and after checking the absence of any significant plagiarism. The authors of the selected finalist papers are subsequently invited to compete for the Awards on a special poster session to be held on Thursday March 23rd. The selection of the Best Paper Award in each category will result from the evaluation by each jury of the combined quality of the paper and of the poster presentation. For the Best Student Paper competition, there may be up to two Awards if the quality is sufficient, provided they cover different topical areas among antennas, propagation and measurements.

Awards Committee

The Awards committee is chaired by Prof. Dirk Manteuffel and Prof. Francesco P. Andriulli. For each award, the Conference Organizing Committee has nominated a Jury constituted by three distinguished researchers in the field. The jury members are chosen after selection of the finalists, taking into account any possible conflict of interest. The composition of the 5 juries will be released at the closing ceremony and subsequently published on the EuCAP web site.

Best Paper Award in Electromagnetics and Antenna Theory

The Best Paper Award in Electromagnetics and Antenna Theory is sponsored in 2017 by the Université Côte d’Azur (univ-cotedazur.fr) and the EPOC team (http://epoc.unice.fr), both under the Ministry of Higher Education and Research.
